Good work starts with knowing who you are.
That belief sits at the center of everything I do—whether I’m behind a microphone, in conversation with a guest, or helping someone name their calling.
My name is Brandon Davis Wells, and I serve as a communicator, coach, and storyteller with a background that spans education, career development, broadcasting, and long-form conversation. I spent nearly a decade serving as a coach and educator in Texas and Ohio before serving for almost three years as a Life Calling Career Coach at Ashland University, walking alongside students as they explored identity, purpose, and vocation. That work sharpened my conviction that clarity comes through listening, reflection, and honest dialogue.
I am a graduate of the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, and I have also served in sports broadcasting roles in radio studios, broadcast booths, and television production trucks across the country for ESPN, Fox, iHeartRadio, SportsTime Ohio, and other networks. Those experiences trained me to tell stories with preparation, curiosity, and integrity—skills that continue to shape my work today.
I serve as the host of the Caller ID Podcast, where I sit down with professors, coaches, executives, nonprofit leaders, and creatives to talk candidly about career paths, identity, calling, and the often unseen work behind meaningful lives. The podcast extends the same guiding question that has shaped my career: Who are you becoming, and why does your work matter?
Friends sometimes joke that I “work in the toy store of life.” What they really mean is that I get to do work that connects people to purpose—and that’s a responsibility I take seriously.
